Movements, Communities and Municipalism

26 Sept to 3 Oct 2020

inside-outside from the ground up

In recent years municipalism has become a sphere of political initiative where radical and progressive movements have found inspiring pathways to institutional power. During the same period, we’ve seen a growing engagement amongst movement activists with the methods and practices of community organising. There are points of connection and points of divergence between these approaches. This training will be designed as an inquiry into the potential and the challenges found at the intersection of these approaches. We’ll be exploring the creative tensions at the intersection between the ‘inside game’ and the ‘outside game’, from a social movement perspective. Details soon!
