\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOfrecemos todas nuestras actividades desde un esp\u00edritu de solidaridad y el compromiso de luchar contra la marginalizaci\u00f3n y la exclusi\u00f3n. El capitalismo y el consumismo condicionan fuertemente nuestras relaciones con los dem\u00e1s y con el mundo. Reducidos a productores o consumidores, se nos aparta de un compromiso m\u00e1s atento para con los dem\u00e1s. Nuestras relaciones son intercedidas por intercambios y contratos financieros. Mediante el proyecto Ulex queremos ofrecer un modelo alternativo que fomente unas relaciones econ\u00f3micas que contribuyan a una cultura de la solidaridad cada vez m\u00e1s profunda.\r\n\r\nNo queremos iniciar una relaci\u00f3n contigo como proveedores de un servicio para un consumidor. Queremos iniciar una relaci\u00f3n plena como coproductoras y colaboradoras de la transformaci\u00f3n de nosotras mismas y de nuestro mundo.\r\n\r\nCreemos que la pr\u00e1ctica de la generosidad mutua constituye un ethos b\u00e1sico en el coraz\u00f3n de una comunidad que da valor a la vida. Compartir es una forma b\u00e1sica de solidaridad. As\u00ed que, en lugar de mostrar nuestro trabajo como un servicio que comprar, nuestro objetivo es ofrecerlo libremente.\r\n\r\nLa base de la econom\u00eda del regalo en la que nos movemos, arraigada en la solidaridad y la generosidad mutua, es el viejo principio \u201cda lo que puedas, toma lo que necesites\u201d.\r\n\r\nEn las descripciones de nuestros cursos incluimos algunas sugerencias en cuanto a las contribuciones. La tarifa media refleja el coste b\u00e1sico real necesario para que el curso sea viable. El proyecto es llevado a cabo por una organizaci\u00f3n sin \u00e1nimo de lucro certificada, por lo que depende de numerosas formas de generosidad y trabajo voluntario (que no est\u00e1n incluidos en el c\u00e1lculo del \u201ccoste real\u201d). No tenemos ning\u00fan medio de financiaci\u00f3n independiente para nuestras actividades. Por este motivo, necesitamos apoyo econ\u00f3mico para que estas sean viables. Si puedes aportar algo m\u00e1s que la tarifa media que sugerimos, te agradeceremos que lo hagas. Ello ayudar\u00e1 al desarrollo de las actividades en curso y a facilitar que otras personas con menos recursos econ\u00f3micos puedan tener acceso a nuestras formaciones.\r\n\r\nDe forma parecida, entendemos que tus circunstancias econ\u00f3micas pueden implicar que tu aportaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica sea inferior; quiz\u00e1s hasta inexistente. Esto no deber\u00eda ser motivo para que no asistieses a nuestros cursos. Para estos casos, llevamos a cabo una extensiva labor de captaci\u00f3n de fondos para que las dificultades econ\u00f3micas o la marginalizaci\u00f3n no sean un obst\u00e1culo para participar en nuestras formaciones.\r\n\r\nCuando la participaci\u00f3n recibe el apoyo de subvenciones y captaciones de fondos espec\u00edficas, establecemos unos acuerdos contractuales determinados con las organizaciones con tal de canalizar dicha financiaci\u00f3n hacia la consecuci\u00f3n de nuestro objetivo de ofrecer nuestra labor de la forma m\u00e1s amplia posible.\r\n\r\nEn cualquier caso, te animamos a mirar las contribuciones sugeridas y a entrar en el esp\u00edritu de la econom\u00eda solidaria aportando la cantidad que puedas con el fin de que podamos facilitarte a ti y a otras personas que \u201ctom\u00e9is lo que necesit\u00e9is\u201d. Estamos tambi\u00e9n abiertas a recibir donaciones en forma de intercambio de habilidades u otras ofertas de trabajo para apoyar el proyecto. Transforming Community Through Mutual Generosity<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All our events are offered in the spirit of solidarity and we\u2019re committed to challenging economic marginalisation and exclusion. Consumerism and capitalism strongly condition our relationship to each other and the world. Reduced to producers or consumers, we\u2019re insulated from more responsive engagement with each other. Our relationships become mediated by way of financial exchange and contracts. Through the Ulex project we want to offer an alternative model that supports economic relationships which contribute towards a culture of deepening solidarity.<\/p>

We do not want to enter into relationship with you as the providers of a service to a consumer. We want to enter into a wholehearted relationship as co-producers and collaborators in the transformation of ourselves and our world.<\/p>

We believe that the practice of mutual generosity constitutes a basic ethos at the heart of life affirming community. Sharing is a basic form of solidarity. So, instead of offering our work as a service to be bought, we aim to give our work freely.<\/p>

The basis of the gift economy we operate – rooted in solidarity and mutual generosity \u2013 is the old principle \u201cgive what you can, take what you need\u201d.<\/p>

In our course descriptions we include rates of suggested contribution.\u00a0 The middle rate reflects the basic real cost required to make the events viable. The project is run by a registered not-for-profit organisation. It depends on numerous forms of generosity and voluntary labour (which is not included in the \u2018real cost\u2019 calculation). We don\u2019t have any independent means of financing the events. We do need financial support to make the events viable. If you can offer more than the middle rate we suggest, then please do. This will help to support the on-going development of the work and enable others who are more economically marginalised to gain access to the work.<\/p>

Similarly, we appreciate that your financial circumstances might mean you can only give less financially \u2013 perhaps nothing at all. This should not stop you attending the courses. To support this we engage in extensive fundraising work so that economic difficulties or marginalisation are not an obstacle to attendance.<\/p>

Either way, please look at the suggested contributions and enter into the spirit of the solidarity economy by giving what you can, so that we can support you and others to take what you need. We are also open to discussing donations in the form of skill sharing and other offers of work to support the project. We look forwards to meeting you in the spirit of mutual generosity.<\/p>
