Ulex courses site accessibility

We run courses in three different venues. While we do everything we can to adjust to the needs of participants where possible, none of these spaces are fully accessible.

Eroles Site

This building is not accessible. It has three floors, with stairs between all of them. Dormitories are located on the first and second floors, the kitchen and dining rooms are on the first floor, and the training room is on the second floor.

The stairway is an old, relatively narrow stairwell.

The bathrooms do not have rails by the toilets, nor in the showers.

The road through the village is partially asphalted, with parts being unevenly surfaced and with pot-holes and scree. The house is half way up a relatively steep hill.

We are working towards making this site fully accessible through a renovation project, by 2028.

La Solana Site

This building is partially accessible. There is one bedroom that is wheelchair accessible with an adapted bathroom. The training room, the dining room and the outside space are all wheelchair accessible. To get to the dormitories and most of the rooms you need to use stairs. Other barriers you might encounter would be: uneven pavement at the entrance to the building (it is rocky not smooth); and the outdoor areas being grassy and becoming muddy when it rains. There is a small step of about 8cm high to enter the building. The road through the village is asphalted and even.

Vidalia Site

This building is not accessible. Small bedrooms, dormitories and the training rooms are only accessible via stairs. The dining room is on the ground floor, however there are a few steps to get into the building, to go into toilets and to cross over to some rooms.

The road in the village is asphalted and evenly surfaced but with some speed bumps.

If you have any access needs, please contact us in advance of coming on the training, so that we can consider possible adaptations and see if we will be able to accommodate your needs. We aim to do our best within the constraints of the infrastructure we are able to use.
